Drone factory shut down trial begins

In April last year, two activists locked-on to the gates of the Leicester drone company UAV Tactical Systems (UTACS), a subsidiary of Israel’s largest weapons firm Elbit Systems. The activists fixed their bodies to the lock-on, rendering access to the site impossible. The activists were arrested later that day, having shut the factory down entirely

Vodafone’s cleaners storm Oxford Street store

Migrant workers who clean Vodafone’s head offices assembled at their flagship Oxford Street store on Saturday for a surprise protest demanding fair pay and proper sick pay. The action came from cleaners represented by the Independent Workers’ union of Great Britain, and marks an escalation in their ongoing campaign against Vodafone’s exploitation of outsourced workers.

Palestine Action slam into Shenstone’s Israeli arms factory

Palestine Action activists have, this morning, pulled a van alongside Elbit Systems UAV Engines weapons factory. From inside the vehicle, they climbed on top to raise the Palestinian flag, whilst the driver locked on to the steering wheel to secure their position. Anti-fascists confront white nationalist rally in Leeds
