Tomorrow Earth Strike UK, a part of a global grassroots movement organising the world’s first general strike save the Planet, will hold a series of event across the country. At the request of the young people who have been staging school strikes around the world, people will walk out of of workplaces and homes to spend the day demanding action on the climate crisis, the greatest existential threat that all of us face. It’s a one-day climate strike, if you will – and it will not be the last. This is going to be the beginning of a week of action all over the world. And we hope to make it a turning point in history. Here is a roundup of what’s going on.

Students and staff will be coming together outside the Hawthorns building at Bristol University to show their support for the 20th September Global Climate Strike!
The picket will start at 8am and will march together to College Green for the main climate strike rally starting at 11am.

In Bideford, we will once again head to the Quay for our monthly protest regarding the government’s dangerous lack of action to prevent climate breakdown.This time we are linked with Global strike for climate, Earth Strike and calls for a General Strike. we hope many more people of all ages will join us.
